WMF Art Nouveau Wall Plaque.

Age patinated silver plate plaque - made by German company WMF in the early 20th century. Signed on the rear in the far right-hand bottom corner. “WMF. EP. as”. Depicts a very well-observed pressed metal scene of two figures (lovers?) dressed in the Grecian style, holding hands over a wall. The plaque has four little metal feet - probably to ensure it sits flat on the wall, but this also means it could stand on these feet as a table decoration. Patinated finish. Measurements: 29 cm wide by 24 cm. Beautiful workmanship.
