Victorian Staffordshire and Silver Plate Toast Rack.

Antique toast holder, beautiful Imari-style colours of dark blue, orange and white with lots of gilded detail.  Made in Staffordshire, UK.  It stands on four silver plated bun feet, and can accommodate up to six slices of toast. Measures 18 cm long (7 inches) and 10 cm wide (4 inches). Height 13 cm at the centre carrying handle. Dates late 1800s. Very good condition - only one tiny shallow nibble underneath one end edge. Very unusual and lovely item.
