Antique Copeland Art Union parianware small statue of a winged Cupid, leaning on a fringed cushion and looking very thoughtful.  Circa 1840s. "Art Union, and Copyright Reserved" stamped to rear of base - along with the maker’s stamp of Copeland. Beautifully modelled, would have been made for the Crystal Palace or London Art Union. Measures 9 cm high, 14 cm wide and 10 cm deep. Excellent condition. Bar the "Veiled Bride", this is the nicest of the Art Union statuettes I’ve seen.
