Sterling Silver-Topped Jar, Chester 1906.
Hobnail cut glass lower and silver top - the silver has an engraved pattern of acanthus scrolls with a blank area for initials or a name to be engraved. British hallmarks for Chester 1906. Central open area on the lid - these types of jars were often called hair-tidies. Very good condition - one shallow chip to side of glass top rim (unseen when lid is on). Item measures 7.2 cm high by 6.2 cm diameter. A pretty jar for a dressing table display.
