Sterling Silver Pin Cushion, 1902.
Antique silver pot - I think this started life as a holder for wax matches, as it has the basket-weave design on the sides where you struck the match. However, long ago converted to a pin cushion. Measures 4.65 cm high and 5.4 cm diameter. It has an attractive engraved pattern, and a British hallmark for Birmingham 1902, and a maker’s mark of W.D. in a cartouche, probably William Devenport. The silver has two shallow dents on one side, otherwise all good.
