Sterling Silver "Mining" Spoon.
American mining item, a silver spoon marked Silver King Mine, Utah. It has reel with two handles at the top of the stem, with a pick and shovel below this. Silver rope twines around the stem and onto what looks like a lump of silver and a basket containing small rocks. The bowl of the spoon is engraved with an image of the mine buildings with a loaded cart drawn by horses in the foreground. Spoon measures 14.5 cm long with a bowl 4.5 cm by 3 cm wide.
Excellent condition. Age unknown, but the claim for the mine was processed in 1894. The old buildings shown were eventually closed in 1953.
