Pair of Antique Silver Butter or Jam Dishes.
Pair of sterling silver dishes, for butter or jam, or even pickles etc. The maker is the prestigious English firm of Mappin & Webb, and they are hallmarked for Birmingham (UK) 1910. They also have a registration mark for this date period. They have semi-opaque glass liners with a central 15-armed star cutting. They each measure 11 cm wide including the cut-work handles, and stand on small feet at a total of 3.7 cm high. Very attractive tableware, also very useful. Excellent condition.
