Large Antique Silver Dressing Table Box.
Edwardian period dresser pot, with cut crystal base, and sterling silver lid. The lid is slightly domes, and has a beautiful relief design (repousse work). Centre panel is engraved with the initials “W.O - or it could be O.W. Hallmarked for Birmingham (UK) 1904. Maker is Levi & Salaman, a well-known silversmithing company of this period. Item measures 14.75 cm wide by 10.2 cm deep. It is 6 cm high. Condition: Very good all round - just one shallow frit to the crystal rim - hidden under the lid. There is good scuffing to the underneath of the base - which signifies its age and use. Altogether a very beautiful piece.
