Two tableware items, not a pair, but similar. The first is a butterknife with a sterling silver blade and a Mother of Pearl handle. It has a leaf pattern on one side of the blade, the rear is plain. It has a British hallmark for Birmingham 1890 with a maker's mark of Hilliard & Thomason of Birmingham. The knife has a slight bend at the very tip, otherwise very good condition. Length: 15.2 cm. The pickle fork also has a Mother of Pearl handle. The silver is not marked - there is a mark on the stem, but it is so very faint and polished out, that I can't read it. The tines have pretty engraving. Length: 15.4 cm. Very good condition.
