Antique dirk brooch, in the style of Scotts kilt pins - makers are the very collectable Charles Horner Company. Sterling silver, inset with pieces of Scottish stones - agate etc. The top of the brooch is shaped like a thistle, with an orange fluted glass finial.  The silver hallmark is for Charles Horner, Chester, 1921. Brooch measures 6.5 cm long. Very good condition.  (A dirk was is a traditional and ceremonial Scotts side arm).
