Roman Glass and Silver, Pendant on Chain.

Sterling silver pendant, mounted with a dome of Roman glass, suspended on a sterling silver very fine chain. Contemporary make, with genuine Roman glass.  Pendant measures 2.6 cm diameter, chain is41 cm long. Comes with a certificate of  authenticity, stating that the fragment came from an archeological site in the Holy Land. The blue/pink/green patina on the glass is a result of chemical interaction of over 2000 years between the glass and the mineral-saturated soil. Excellent condition. There is more colour to the glass than the image shows.
