Pair of Victorian Berry Spoons with Gilded Bowls.
Beautiful flatware - a pair of serving spoons with the traditional “berry” embossed bowls, with scalloped and decorated rims. Silver plated, with the bowls being gilded - apart from looking ritzy, this gilding stops taint from any tarnish. (Be careful when washing these, no dishwashers please, and only gentle rinsing in luke-warm mildly soapy water - the gilding will wear off otherwise. This applies to all gilded items). The silver-plated stems and finials are decorated with reeded edges on which there are tiny flower heads, and leaves decorated the finials. Tey carry a registration mark at the base of the stems, which dates them to 8th May, 1882. The maker is John Round & Sons, Sheffield, England. Spoons measure 22.5 cm long. They are in excellent condition.
