Pair of Silver and Gold Antique Earrings.
These pretty little ear bobs have a heart-shaped face in silver with line decoration, which has tiny gold balls mounted to the centre. Surmounting the heart on each earring is a little faceted lustre stone. They have a hook and clasp ear fitting. They are from the Edwardian era - dating circa 1901-1910. Possibly once the face of the earrings was part of a necklace - remodelling your jewellery to keep up with trends was a fashionable thing to do in the very early 1900s. The fittings are from a later date than the hearts. Face of earrings measure 1.58 cm high by 1.12 cm wide. The drop from the ear is 2.26 cm. One tiny gold ball is missing, otherwise very good condition considering age. The earrings come in a little leather and silk antique box (originally made for cufflinks I think, but a good box for them).
