Old Framed Chinese Embroidery.

Hand-embroidered on silk, which then has a mount of silk damask. Two vertical bands, joined together - the subject is climbing foliage and flowers with perched birds on the branches. Colours are mint greens, mustard yellow, black and soft and darker blue. Very pretty and excellent workmanship. Whole including frame measures 68 cm by 38.5 cm. The black lacquer of the frame has a few scrapes etc, commensurate with age. The silks are in excellent condition. (Photos are taken through the glass, so reflections and shadows show).
