Kigu Flying Saucer Compact.

Iconic, beautiful and rare Kigu powder compact (there is one in the V&A Museum collections in London)  This design first launched in 1951. It has a rounded swirling stars globe surrounded by a flat platform of gold plated metal. The compact has never been used, it has no powder in it, and the filter and puff pad are as new. It comes in its own drawstring moiré black bag, in the original Kigu box. The case itself has a few minor scuffs on the metal. The  blue enamel star dome is perfect. It has the words “Flying Saucer” and trademark inside on the rim, and a Kigu logo on the rear of the pad. Item measures 72.25 cm diameter  (2.7/8 inches) not including the hinge and clasp.
