Jade Pounamu and Silver Brooch.

Vintage brooch, with oblong greenstone (New Zealand nephrite jade) piece, mounted in silver. The stone has a rounded top. Item measures 5 cm wide by 1.4 cm high. The stone has  three tiny chips on each of three corners - but as these are under the curve, they are not readily visible from the front. Unusual mount for local pounamu, very attractive. Circa mid 20th century.
