Georgian Period Small Etui.

Made in silver and tortoiseshell, this little case is for storing needles etc. Beautifully inlaid with silver in a pattern of flower heads and small swags of leaves. Oval shape. Item measures 4.5 cm high, 2.5 cm wide at the top by 1.1 cm deep, tapering to 2.1 cm wide at the base by 0.90 cm deep. This woud date from the early 1800s. Truly a treasure of a collector's piece. Condition is very good - it has a largish chip to the shell on the top of the lid (see image), otherwise perfect. One of the very prettiest I've seen.
