French Advertising Match Holder and Striker.

Rare, heavy ceramic striker and holder, which advertises a retailer of crystal, faience and porcelain. “Le Grand-Walle à Arras”. Banded in red, the centre pf the holder for the wax matches and the ribbed foot ring is the striker. Measures 75mm by 90 mm (3 inches by 3.1/2 inches). Excellent condition. May have been for a café or bar. Very early 20th century.
