Doulton Silicon-ware Lidded Pot, Faults.
Made around 1890, this barrel-shaped Doulton pot has applied decoration, and a matt finish very similar to jasperware. It measures approx. 14 cm high (5.1/2 inches) and 9.73 cm diameter. It has faults - chip to the lid finial, large shallow chip under quarter of the lid, and small chips to edge of lid with a tight hairline crack (safe, not moving). The base has an external rim chip,
and a few tiny chips to internal rim. Interesting piece, you see very little of this ware around now. Priced for the faults. Quite heavy.
