Diamond and Platinum Engagement and Wedding Ring.

Stunning handmade diamond and platinum ring, a solitaire in a square mount with three shoulder diamonds on each side. Slim reeded band.  The wedder is a plain platinum, also reeded. Face of diamond ring measures 12 mm by 6 mm.  Shank is 2 mm wide, tapering to the rear of the finger. The band ring is also 2 mm. Ring fitting is NZ/UK size  H+ for the diamond ring, and I+ for the wedder. Wedder inside diameter is 15.2 mm.We have a valuation for this ring, and regarding the details of the ring, it gives the following (paraphrased): Handmade 950 platinum. Natural diamond, one is grain set. early modern brilliant cut, approx. 5.5 x 2.9 mm in size, estimated 0.55 carats in weight. Good early make, M-N colour, SI2 clarity. Faint blue fluorescence, girdle obscured by setting, small chip visible. The shoulder diamonds are: Old Swiss and one round brilliant cut estimated to total 0.18 carats.  The wedder is handmade in platinum. It gives the condition as "wear to the back of the shanks and to setting, stones secure".  (All normal for a pre-owned ring)  "Retail market value is $4500.00 and new comparison value is $6900.00".  This is a beautiful sparkly ring set.
