Vintage necklace, genuine Akoya pearls by Toyomoto, Japan. Mid 20th century. They are Matinee length, at 60 cm long, and slightly graduated from 6.03 mm diameter to about 6.58 mm. The clasp is silver, and mounted with a small pearl. The string has a knot between each pearl. They are a lovely creamy colour, showing pink/peach reflections and are in very good condition. Necklace comes in its original box, which has age spotting inside on the base cloth. The lid liner is white silk and in very good condition. Exterior of box also has some age staining. However, it is a safe container in which to send the necklace.
