Crown Devon Asiatic Pheasant Black Ginger Jar.

Lidded pot in the ginger jar shape from Fielding’s Crown Devon. Matt black glaze with glazed Asiatic Pheasant design, named here as Chelsea. Gilding to edges and lid finial - also gilding highlights in the design. Measures 13 cm high and 11 cm diameter.  Small amount of minor crazing inside, but externally perfect. Very colourful and attractive, more in the Forester style than Crown Devon, so an unusual piece. Early piece, circa 1913-1920s.
