Cranberry or ruby glass pot, with silver electro-plated lid. Jar has a pattern in gold of a branch of leaves and flowers. Underneath is the mark “A77” - the sevens are drawn in the European manner - this is likely to be antique Bohemian glass. The main body of the pot is in very good condition - there are rough bits and minor shallow chipping to the rim which the heavy plated lid would have caused. A very decorative piece from mid to late 1800s period. Measures: 15.5 cm high including lid, and 9 cm diameter.
