Carved Mother of Pearl Antique Purse.

Carved face to this purse, depicting a woman sitting under a tree on the edge of some water. The rear is a plain mother of pearl panel. The interior is missing, with just the red lining showing. The frame appears to be silver plate. The rear panel is loose, and the front panel shows signs of having been glued. Some coloured stains to the front panel (possibly natural to the shell). Item measures 8.75 cm by 6 cm. Dates from early 1900s. A quaint little item. Perhaps the carved face could be framed.
