Antique Silver-Lidded Small Vanity Box.

Edwardian oblong moulded glass box with sterling silver lid. The silver top has a border pattern of curved leaves,with the centre of the panel has embossed fruit and leaves. The initial panel in the centre is blank. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham (UK), 1907 - which is in the Edwardian era. There are signs of gilding inside the lid. The base has a  registration number moulded in the glass, reading 410631, which dates it to the period 1900 to 1905. Box measures 11.5 cm long by 4.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm high. Condition: The base is in very good condition. The silver has a dent in one end and a very tiny indentation mark in the other. The top edge has a tiny piece of the beading absent.  The top in general fits where it should, but is a little uneven and can pop up too easily at one end. A great display piece though for a dressing table - or as a keeper for earrings or rings.
