Antique Parrot Bookmark.

Beautiful tiny petit-point embroidery of a parrot on a swing. Destined to be a book mark, which was a very popular family gift in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is mounted on a piece of blue fabric which is unfinished. Actual item measures 11.4 cm long by 5.7 cm wide. Embroidery is in very good condition. Canvas has a stain on one side. One of those special little items from the past.
