Single silver plated antique knife-rest in the shape of a squirrel, eating what could be a nut, and the long tail is the rest for the knife blade so it won't dirty the tablecloth. Item measures 4 cm high by 9.7 cm long. One back leg has a repair, otherwise very good condition.
