Antique 15ct Gold Pendant with Ruby and Seed Pearls.

Cased pendant with gilded silver chain. Pendant is hallmarked on the rear of the ball at the bottom of the piece "15ct" - 15ct gold was discontinued in 1931, having first been used in 1854.  This item would date from late 19th century to early 20th century. The gilded chain is a later addition.  Unusual item, mounted with a ruby flanked by two tiny seed pearls. Etruscan style scrolling and ball decoration. Pendant measures 3.5 cm high, not including the large O ring,  by 1.25 cm wide. The chain is 44.5 cm long. The case, from Stewart Dawson & Co (NZ) Ltd may or may not be original.  Excellent condition.  TW: 3.2
