935 Silver and Marcasite Brooch converts Shoe Clips.

Vintage marcasite brooch, made in high purity silver, 935 grade (sometimes called Argentium).  The brooch holds a pair of shoe clips - or dress clips. Beautiful workmanship, all the settings are edged by beaded silver work. The marcasite is sparkling like diamonds. When worn as a brooch, it has a swivel safety clasp and an attached safety chain. The clips are mounted back to back, and held in place by a frame. You open the clips on the two items, and the frame can slide off. Brooch measures   and the clips are each 2.4 cm wide by 2.8 cm long.5.5 cm wide by 2.5 cm high. This item dates from circa 1950, and is in absolutely excellent condition.
