Three vintage wooden Chinese panels, with carved designs of flowers and foliage. The background is lacquered with tiny overlaid pieces of iridescent shells. One panel depicts water lillies and a bird, another is irises and a butterfly, and the last one is chrysanthemums and a magnificent bird. All the carved areas are gilded over dark Indian red, and each panel has an ornate brass matching hanging bracket. Frames are wood, possibly teak. Each panel measures 49.2 cm long by 24 cm high. All are in very good condition. A very handsome set.
