Victorian Meat Skewer, Two Cherubs.

Late 1800s skewer, silver plate by Elkington & Co Ltd. The finial is two winged cherubs holding a pair of snakes surmounting an urn or candlestick-like central ornament. Short skewer, measuring  a total of 15.2 cm high, the blade being 9.7 cm of that. Finial is 4.3 cm wide. It has an old repair to the cherub's feet, otherwise in excellent condition.
