Very attractive castor, crystal base with hobnail design in two sizes, and starburst pattern under base. The cap is silver, with British hallmarks dating it to Sheffield, 1928. The maker is Hammond, Creake and Co. with a stamp of S A over C (for Saint-Arnaud Creake. Castor measures 17.25 cm high, with a base diameter of 8 cm. It is in excellent condition, with just one small shallow indentation in the silver of the cap. Excellent for that castor sugar or icing sugar sprinkle on fruit desserts, would look elegant on any table.
