Spoon by Jamie Linton, made in the Arts & Crafts era, probably in the 1920s. It has a cut-work sailing boat in the finial, and a beaten silver bowl to the spoon. Rear is rat-tail design, and the stem bears the silver mark of JAL, a stamp of a gum nut & leaves, and the words "Stg Silver". Spoon measures 11.1 cm long with a bowl 2.2 cm wide. The bowl is quite deep, so possibly this is a small sugar spoon rather than a teaspoon. Excellent condition. A good example of early 20th century Australian silver.
