Made by Dixon & Co, Birmingham (UK) - the mark is D * S, which in Old Sheffield plate guides gives a date of 1784.  (There is a similar silver mark for 1833, but as these are not silver, the OSP mark is likely more accurate,  but say they date between 1784 and 1833). They have detachable sconces, and in total, they each measure 9.1/2 inches high (approx. 24 cm).  The base is 12 cm diameter. There is bleed (copper showing through) to the top of the bases - signifies many years of cleaning. Pretty ornamentation to the sconce and lower stem, flowers and leaves. Base underneaths have old felt on them, it would have been replaced at some time.
