Beautiful set in a curved-lid box lined with purple silk and velvet. 12 silver plated English teaspoons, measuring 13 cm long each. The tongs and spoons all have engraved design to the stems and finials. Maker’s mark is for Charles James Allen & Sidney Darwin of Sheffield. A lovely set in almost unused condition. Clasp on the box is a bit stiff, needs to be pushed right in to get the box open. They would date from 1879.
