Three European Figurines, Damage.

  • NZ$2500

Three European porcelain figurines, all with damage but all restorable. All the gluing has been done by an an amateur, and can be dissolved. Descriptions as follows: 1) Figurine of mother and child is by E & A Müller Schwarza-Saalbehn (Thuringia - Germany). Beautifully modelled - damage: her neck has been glued, but apart from the bad glue work, it is a clean break, and could be an easy restoration. Perfect condition apart from the neck. 2) Pair of seated lovers with a lamb (possibly shepherd and shepherdess) - possibly unmarked Naples. Impressed mark under base N643. Same base edges pattern as Naples pieces. His neck glued, her basket has handle missing (this could be sanded and coloured to make an open basket). 3) Third item is a porcelain figurine of a lady - she is carrying a bouquet of flowers, and a walking pole. Damage: her foot has been glued, her left wrist is glued, and there is a glued break to the pole which incorporates the right wrist. Her head is off, but intact - the glue failed here. (First image shows it on - just placed for the photo). All from the same estate, glued by the same person. Luckily all breaks are clean, so very little if any filling needed.
