Derby mark a hand painted crown in puce, with crossed swords below bearing six dots, and the letter D below this with the number 69. Dates from the period 1782-1800. The cup is lavishly gilded with handle borders and rims all being marked out in gold. Cobalt blue is the background colour to these, on a white porcelain body. Cup is 7 cm high and 6.65 cm diameter at the lip (not including the handle). It has a taped repair to the lower handle, and a small chip repair beside the top of the handle. Gilded flower in bottom of cup is worn (they so often are - these items were in household use). Overall a pretty addition to any Derby collection.
