Boat-shaped dish made by Ridgways, England. It is glazed earthenware with ochre glazed body on the sides and base, and dark brown with gilded edges on the face of the dish. On the inside base is the decoration print of the New Zealand Hamilton Railway Bridge. Dish and bridge both date from the late 1800s. Dish measures 3 cm high by 15.5 cm long and 8 cm wide. Excellent condition, no damage. Light normal earthenware crackle glaze to underneath. An unusual find.
