Vintage Japanese Damascene Malaya Cigarette Case

Probably a souvenir vase from the occupation of Malaya and Singapore during WWII - early to mid 1940s. Rare vintage case, it has a map of Malaya showing seven cities or towns, and Singapore at the bottom,  on the front of the case. Also with a tiger and an elephant. Damascene pattern around the edges. Slight curve for the pocket to the case, with a plain black rear, again surrounded by the damascene pattern. Interior is black with gilded edges and cigarette bands. Dates circa 1940s.  Place names are not in Japanese, but definitely Japanese manufacture. Very good condition. Measures 10.8 cm wide by 8 cm. 1.7 cm thick.
