Vintage carved wooden stand in three sections with gilded detail. These plaques are placed in Shinto temples to commemorate someone’s passing. This one would have come from a temple which was closed. It measures 19.5 cm high and 8 cm wide at the base. It comes apart in three pieces (they slot together) and is in very good condition except for a little of the lacquer missing in small spots. These are very attractive in groups of three.
