Victorian Paste and Silver Buckle

Quaint buckle, paste (artificial) diamonds (just glass or crystals), mounted in sterling silver buckle. Rear has the hinged slot for the fabric to pass through. Item measures 5.41 cm wide by 3.30 cm high. Very good condition for the age. Would date to early Victorian period, 1840s or so.
