Small medalet made in 1905, which was the centenary of the Battle of Trafalgar. It is made in copper from the Victory, Nelson’s flagship. The face of the medal shows the Victory herself, in  sail. The rear has the notation ”From B.F.S.S. Nelson centenary containing Victory copper.  E.R.VII”.  (for Edward Rex, 1907 - who took great interest in the B.F.S.S - which was the British & Foreign Sailer’s Society). This was issued to subscribers on payment of a donation to the fund.  Medal measures 1.68 cm diameter. Excellent original condition.
