Pewter or Britannia metal, not marked as such, but would be one or the other (Britannia metal is a pewter alloy).
Very nice hot water jug with ceramic heat-stops in the handle and a jaunty finial to the lid. Twist lobe decorated base. Very nice condition.
This would date from circa 1890s to 1920. Maker is W R Humphreys & Co, England. Jug measures 18 cm high, 14 cm wide handle to spout, and has a base 10.5 cm diameter. This item would make a very nice vase.
