Antique sterling silver gentleman's desk snuffpot with sprung lid. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1907, maker D & F (Deakin & Francis). Monogram of intertwined initials on the lid. Could be  either B.A.C. or possibly C.A.B. Inside, there is the faint remains of gilding.  Pot measures 29 mm high by 83 mm diameter. Sprung lid - you squeeze the sides of the pot to open the lid. There is a shallowish dent at the rear of the pot side, (could be taken out by a silversmith) otherwise lovely condition. TSW: 87.1g.
