Early 20th Century Pegity Game.

  • NZ$2500

Circa 1920s parlour game of Pegity, by Parker Brothers, USA and London. In its original box. For two, three or four players.  Card sheet with pegs of four differing colours. Interesting game, players need to get five pegs in a row to win, without the other players “blocking” him or her and preventing this happening. Box is a bit tatty, having taped corners and most sides missing from the lid. Still playable though. From the lovely era where, without television, families passed the evening playing such games together. Box measures 27cm by 35 cm by 4 cm high. Great set for an antique games collector.
