Arts and Crafts Beaded Evening Bag, Circa 1900.

Unusual beaded evening bag, exquisite tiny beads all over, with a stylised Arts & Crafts design of roses and leaves. Handmade, fold-over, satchel style in miniature. Strap is also beaded. Bag measures 14.5 cm wide by 10 cm. Strap has some fraying, and there is a rather rudimentary small repair the the base of one strap - hidden by the flap. Absolutely beautiful piece of work, even the flap matches the underneath design. Beads are blue, red, white and a background motif in pewter colour. Circa 1900-1910. If you collect beaded bags, this one is a must!
