Late Victorian or Edwardian antique Barker Brothers “Britanoid” metal tea and coffee pot. Barker Brothers were a well-known and respected brand. The metal is Britannia metal, this one alloyed over copper, so a better quality than most. Ivory heat-proof knob to lids, pretty engraving of flowers and foliage and elegant lines. Very attractive detail to top of handles where they join the body. The teapot has a weld repair to the base rim, and a depressed knob finial.  Coffee pot is in excellent condition. Coffee measures 19.5 cm high, 24 cm handle to spout and 10 cm deep at the base. Tea measures 14 cm high. 23.5 handle to spout and 11.5 cm wide at the base.  These would make a decorative accent in a kitchen, or vases or watering cans. They would date between 1897 and 1907.
