Victorian Jet Bracelet.

English jet stretch bracelet (English jet is coal) - panels and balls with a centre motif. Measures approx. 7.5 cm circumference unstretched, and would stretch to much larger. Mounted on black fine elastic. 1.75 cm high. Excellent condition. Jet was used a lot in the late 19th century as mourning jewellery, following the fashion set by Queen Victoria. These days, it doesn’t have that label attached to it and is worn as a stylish piece of jewellery.
