Red Cinnabar Laquer Bangle.

Vintage bangle, carved with traditional Chinese flower and branch design. Dark red. Cinnabar lacquer is (to quote): " Cinnabar lacquer is made from the sap of a tree which is processed and pigmented with ground cinnabar. The pigmented lacquer is applied layer upon layer over a wooden or metal core".  In this case, a wooden core. Bracelet has an internal diameter of 6.5 cm, and a thickness of 0.8cm. Excellent condition.
