Vintage brooch and matching screw-back earrings. Inlay to face of items is in gold and silver, a scene of a mountain, fir trees and straw-roofed houses. The gold inlay in these types of jewellery is normally high carat, 24K is commonly used. The backs test as around 14ct, but this is probably plated on brass. This set dates from the late 1940s to the very early 1950s - it's previous owner was given it by her husband who was in Japan with the occupying forces immediately after WWII. It has hardly been worn - shows no sign of wear and is a shiny as the day she received it. Brooch measures 3.87 cm wide and 2.22 cm high. Earrings are 1.88 cm wide and 1.62 cm high.
